Wonderland Villa is a six bedroom private villa located on the verdant hills of Constantia in Cape Town. It is utterly unique in style. The brainchild of an eccentric movie director, Wonderland Villa has evolved over 25 years into a playground for children and adults that will have guests grinning with delight at the whimsical design. Every room has a story and surprises await in every nook of the property.

Wonderland Villa has been described as an enchanted forest, a labyrinth wonderland – the organic architecture merging seamlessly with the environment – a natural evolution of the hillside.  The extraordinary attention to detail ensures that guests will want for nothing. From the secret pantry to the medieval wine cellar that affords a glimpse inside the aquatic world of giant Koi.

Style and Design
Part Narnia and part Robinson Crusoe’s treehouse, the five levels weave in and out of one another, connected by pathways that lead to stone courtyards protecting mystical gardens of water and stone. Hand carved wood, steampunk-inspired spiral staircases and colourful mosaics adorn the property.
In the dining room, you will find a 16-seater Pierre Cronje dining table, built-in oak cupboards, curly Cherrywood flooring and concealed doors that lead out to a vast dining deck.
Outside wooden walkways and cobbled paths meander between thatched hideouts, exotic aloes, leafy ferns and ancient Frangipani trees. The wrought-iron gates and ornate doors were forged by the local artists and blacksmiths Luke Atkinson and Conrad Hicks.
Wonderland Villa sleeps 12 guests in total. Each of the six bedrooms is unique in layout, size, character and style. Each is en-suite with an extra length King sized bed.
Extensive amenities include bathrobes, slippers, hairdryers, TV with Netflix, high speed WiFi and a safe.
Children of all ages are welcome  – it is an incredible place for children with waterslides, water polo nets, swings and hanging ropes. Please note that while the property is great fun for children it does have many steps, pathways, ponds and pools and children should be supervised at all times.

This spacious villa, 1000 square meters in size, is situated on the mountain side of Hout Bay Hillcrest area. The house comes with three swimming pools (one heated and one natural pool), five en-suite bedrooms, TV/cinema room and gym.

The kitchen is large and fully equipped.  The breakfast table seats eight and includes a TV.  Lounge is spacious with TV and great views of the harbor and mountain.  It opens up to a beautiful undercover patio with upmarket outdoor furniture.  Dining room seats 8 to 10 with magnificent uninterrupted views as well as an outside under cover dining area seating up to 14.

Air-conditioning is available throughout the house. An enclosed indigenous mountain with stone pathways is available for a relaxing walk.  Parking is available for 5-6 cars. Includes an alarm system

Large sliding doors open out onto the terrace, where a heated swimming pool backs onto the forested hillside. The light streams in from outside, joining Villa Verte’s interior spaces together, as it travels through the high windows and glass doors, across its voluminous ceilings, drawing in plenty of warmth that toasts the abundance of natural timber. The surrounding trees encase the property, keeping it separate from its neighboring mother villa, Maison Noir, that’s sitting quietly in harmony below.

So for those extra-special occasions – when the whole family gathers together – there are two properties to choose from, without being on top of one another, and in each others’ bath robes. The enchanting grounds of Maison Noir lends its floors and walls to those who wish to celebrate in quintessential style. Striking wallpapers were chosen for each suite and each one is named after local plants or flowers. Taking its cue from the name Villa Verte, green and the colors of nature are the overriding theme throughout.
Curves and circles were used as nothing in nature is square or rectangular, even in its most cellular form. The owners love everything that the circle represents: equality, inclusivity, unity, sustainability and, of course, the circle of life.

AGAPANTHUS – GRAND MASTER
This master suite is the most spacious with its own lounge area and a private study adjacent to the bedroom (ideal if you need to keep in touch with your office while away) and a magnificent en-suite bathroom with gorgeous views. You’ll find it hard to leave!

EUCALYPTUS – MASTER
For those who love being up in the forest, this is the suite for you! The master suite configurations are more spacious and include a lounge area for private relaxation.

SANSEVIERIA
Striking wallpaper designs link each of the suites at Villa Verte and Sansevieria is no exception. An original by local artist Kurt Pio hangs under the window revealing mountain views behind. The view from your bed or private balcony is of the beautiful valley below.

STRELITZIA
The suite with the most expansive views of the valley, Strelitzia is equally soothing to stay in. Like all the other suites, it is light and airy and has both mountain and valley views. Each suite has its own private balcony.

Serene & set in an amphitheater of mountains, the home features four en-suite bedrooms all made up in luxury linens. Bedrooms have luxurious tubs w/showers as well as private outdoor showers for each suite.

Guest Access
Access to the entire villa. There is an estate office and cottage on property.

Interaction with Guests
Three full time housekeepers are on hand to clean, wash dishes, make-beds etc. The property has a full time estate manager who will attend to guests needs. Breakfasts , lunches and dinners arranged for a fee: Prawn or Lobster barbeque’s to mention one , functions, cocktail evenings, birthday parties, and weddings. We work with the best chefs in Cape Town & can arrange chef’s dinners small or large for any occasion.
